Hard To Imagine & Smile. NICE.
I swear I saw Hansard cover Smile once while opening for an EV solo show?
Also, what a bummer they ignored Won't Tell at the Seattle shows.

I took a friend who had never seen PJ before and isn’t a huge fan, but he has a great time. First thing he said was how good Ed sounded.
Last two times (last night and Denver 22) are the tightest the band has ever been. No real fuck ups.
Won’t Tell sounded great live. Hard to Imagine was a nice treat. Was honestly most excited for Jeremy as I’d never gotten it live before.
One major problem, though. I bought tickets through 10C and the tickets they sold us were obstructed directly stage left. They essentially sold two entire sections that were obstructed and people were PISSED. Their only offer was to send us to the top left pretty far away. I stayed as I had enough of an angle to see everything but what a shit show.

ten club is a mismanaged disaster
no surprise those seats were obstructed
no surprise the setlist shirt has a setlist that doesnt match
these guys have been phoning it in for a while
and hate their fans (correctly, bc they suck)
glad Jeff got to pretend to be a person for a few minutes
congrats to Ed though, for being brave enough to wear a wide brim hat
he is such a visionary

I’ve been spoiled with some excellent seats and it’s a completely different (much much better) experience being close to the stage, but deep down I’m still a “happy to be in the building” guy.

Hey y’all
If anyone saw y kid carrying a praying mantis off the floor, this is the story:
During RITFW I spotted the mantis on the floor of the pit, and my kid scooped it up and let it crawl on his hands until the show was over, then carried it allllll the way to a tree near a mech tent.
If you want to see pix, head over to the. Official pj forum cause I’m tired and this looks different on a phone, I’m a 2005 era user), which I think makes me super lame).
Mantis is my new hero, it worked hard to survive and just needed a lift out of a bad situation.
Take care of one another, y’all, see you in Chicago.

It seems like a solid setlist but I can't help but miss those 30+ song ones, from years back. It seems like those extra songs are where you would get a lot of more outside the box picks which I really enjoy. With Dark Matter having such a heavy presence and a shorter setlist, there isn't much room for the interesting picks you don't hear too much.

I get missing the longer sets, but the last two times I’ve seen them, they’ve sounded significantly better. Those long sets always had glaring mistakes and a lot of covers.

The actual setlist leaned hard on Jeff tracks (obviously)...
Adding Pilate & God's Dice would've made it the best of the bestest Jeff show.

Reddit would have me believe seating was an absolute disaster for this show. Seat numbers were swapped L-R, and large sections had fully obstructed views that required re-seating. One poster said they spoke with someone at the venue who told them that they had no idea what the stage setup was until the night prior. It's a reddit rumor, so who knows, but yikes if true
