Ruddo came to town and had to admit that he would call the police.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Still no sign of this in NEIL, the supposed epicenter.

I thought this was funny when you posted it, and now when I step outside I wonder if the Earth is under attack by aliens.

This morning it got loud enough to be heard inside my house with the doors and windows closed.
Wowza

Great description. It’s just this background feedback noise that is constant. Very prevalent today. I’m just hoping all the holes in the ground aerate the soil and all these little shells work as some sort of nice fertilizer. We should at least get something out of all this.

Birds have stopped eating at my feeders. Too many fat, buzzing yum yums.

I think this may be ending soon. There is an ungodly number of dead cicadas on my driveway.

You have to get them right after they crack out of their shell. Now they're too tough and chewy to be any good.

Dogs still like 'em.

so the latest thing to come about from the cicadas is an influx of mite bites. evidently microscopic mites feed on cicada eggs that are in trees. those mites bite people, and the bites itch like a mother and last for about 10 days. if you're outside near trees, chances are you're gonna get bit, which i have. we're not gonna see the end of this for another month or so. lovely.

sue em. start a class action

we are dealing with lantern flies. not as bad as they were last year. on the building at work it looked like the scene of the zombies running and forming a zombie wall up the city wall. disgusting. they use a shop vac and would go out every 2 hours and suck up about 5-10 loads of them

I wonder if the same holds true for fleas. We’re being bombarded and the fleas just laugh at me when I treat the yard.
