I would bet on it being SBM or Future Days, unfortunately.
Sleeping By Myself could be a good choice...Future Days.... :shake:

I was very wrong then. Though I guess that has something to do with increased marketing too.

My hypothesis was based on a pretty much static fanbase size and the general fall of sales for everyone.
Yep. Ed was pretty frustrated at how poorly Riot Act was selling - including not even being able to find it in record stores, etc because they weren't even stocking it. A lot of that drove the change in the songwriting for the band. And, a ton more marketing for S/T.
Yeah...all that talk about doing what's necessary to making your voice heard blah blah blah....sad times. Maybe they should have done it in increments...increase the marketing but keep the music the same, then if that doesn't work start your shoehorning hideous choruses and yea yea yeahs everywhere.

Pretty sure the group handclaps can only bump the sales too.

Hmmm, so where do I go to talk about how much I'm drooling over this vinyl... design, texture, artwork, everything about it... :worthy:

My friend is a huge collector and says these will be collectible because of the flaw.
He says leave it unopened and just order another one.

It has come to our attention that there have been some manufacturing issues with the Lightning Bolt vinyl possibly due to the high quality and delicate nature of the special packaging. If you are in receipt of an album that you feel may be defective in some manner, please send an email to UMG Customer service at: fisherscustsvc@umusic.com indicating the specific issue with your copy. Replacement vinyl will begin shipping out early next week to all those affected by this issue.
yup the quality is so high it has issues

Did it turn out this was another conspiracy?

Did they ever find out who was behind that server crash conspiracy a few years ago?

Just called them. They said:

"Yea we are aware that pearl jam has posted this but we have no official word on how the label wants to handle this yet. I can take your number and give you a call as we get more info."

Nothing wrong with my copy. It looks perfect to me and sounds great too. A few crackles hear and there but that's what makes vinyl so enjoyable. Mine doesn't seem to have any of the other issues that other people were complaining about. However, considering the texture they used, I can see why people were complaining about having fingerprints and various marks on their copy. The texture is very sensitive to getting junk on it. But it's worth it, because that's why it's so badass.

I can't believe people are still complaining now even when they have a solution in place.

10c, Santos, and anyone else involved, thank you for taking the time to help remedy this for those affected.
