It's only after reading this thread that I realize how many of you are located in the midwest and east. Damn.

I'm holding out hope for my Trail Blazers, but their ceiling this year is 48 wins and a 6 seed in a brutal Western Conference. I suppose it's better than being a Phoenix or Sacramento, but it's not the greatest feeling either. At least we get to watch Damian Lillard all year!

Also pretty familiar with Meyers Leonard since I'm from Illinois. Saw him play at the State tournament when he was in high school. I forget what class his school was but it was small. He was a giant among a bunch of 5 foot 11 white kids.....which is fine, except he was the biggest crybaby douchebag I had ever seen. Maybe he's matured, haven't watched him lately.

No, Meyers hasn't matured much. I was a fan of the pick but his defense is awful. He's a favorite at the Rose Garden but man, he just has no clue how to defend anybody.

The Batum thing HAS to be personal. We never got a real explanation from either player, which leads me to believe that something else transpired between those two that's never been explained to the public. It was a dirty, dirty play that mystifies me. A quoi pensiez-vous, M. Batum? A quoi pensiez-vous?

I want to amend my earlier statement. With Rose all the way back Chicago is easily Miami's biggest challenger. I could definitely see them winning the 1 seed again and gun to my head I'd rather Miami play Indiana than a healthy Chicago team any day of the week.

No doubt he looks amazing right now. He definitely did the right thing sitting out the whole season and fully recovering last year.
