my ranking:epilogue wrote:Agreed.Ensign9 wrote:This is excellent. I was impressed with the direction and cinematography most of all. There is nothing terribly inventive or revolutionary relative to the first two but it’s a very solid movie worth your time.
I might like it most of the trilogy, personally. I was really surprised by how good it was.

AQP (which I do love, especially as it's the most horror of the three, it's just slightly duller than the others for me; a 3 for 3 franchise so far

Totally agree, 3 for 3. This quietly turned into one of the best, most consistent modern franchises.Ms Harmless wrote:my ranking:epilogue wrote:Agreed.Ensign9 wrote:This is excellent. I *never* say this but I would quite like them to continue with one-shot slice of life stories set in the same universe; Monster Of The Week films, if you will; reveal small details of the overarching mythology with each film, but otherwise just make them glimpses of humans living and struggling; Day One kind of reminded me of an anime movie in that sense, more than War of The Worlds, and that makes me happyepilogue wrote:Totally agree, 3 for 3. Totally! I'd be down with that, too. I would love to watch the war movie installment. Follow a squad of troops through a day. Kind of Blackhawk Down but, you know, whispering.
