Well, that's about as good as a poster gets.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Really hating im only seeing 1 show this tour when i had tickets to Ohana, Wrigley, baltimore, and MSG
What happened to me?
I was discussing this with my wife a bit. I was thinking about the days when going to see multiple shows would cost under $500 or whatever. Now? The ticket prices, flight prices, hotel prices, taxi/rideshare prices, food prices.....just too much.
Glad i was able to pack in PJ in their prime but definitely feel like ive missed out on the last two weeks!
Looking forward to Baltimore.

Most of us face this. What I do to help cover it all is credit card points. If you can cover the bills each month, putting everything in well chosen travel points cards lets you build up enough between tours to cover hotel and flights without compromising family trips. Only downside is you are stuck with specific chains.Strat wrote:Really hating im only seeing 1 show this tour when i had tickets to Ohana, Wrigley, baltimore, and MSG

Oh I use CC points and that helps with flights and all but still plenty expensive beyond that!Bi_3 wrote:Most of us face this. What I do to help cover it all is credit card points. this is so very very true. we spent entirely too much for one show in chicago.Strat wrote:Oh I use CC points and that helps with flights and all but still plenty expensive beyond that!Bi_3 wrote:Most of us face this. I am dragging my family across the country to see these fucks in November. Son has to fly extra stop both ways because he is literally as far away from Melbourne as he could possibly be on continental Australia. I'm at about $10k AUD all up (~ buck fiddy USD).
Crazy. But still, should be something.

Re: 2024-09-09: Philadelphia, PA
It's a different perspective for me now. I think I'm at 20 shows, nothing like most of you, still a "decent" number.
Took my 19 year old Saturday, had a great time, I thought the setlist was fun.
Taking my 15 year old tonight.
Taking my 9 year old Thursday.
I have not been in 8 years after seeing them just about every year.
I feel like for me now it's about sharing it with my family, not as much about me. I think I heard my kid sing more Saturday than Ed, which is fine. Years ago that would have pissed me off.
IDK how to describe what I'm feeling, it's just different? Not bad different, still a great time. A different sort of experience.

It doesn't help that they only play non-major cities every 2-4 years now. If you want to attend multiple shows, you're almost forced to fly.Strat wrote:Really hating im only seeing 1 show this tour when i had tickets to Ohana, Wrigley, baltimore, and MSG
