Look, I know it's my fault for even trying but this dude maybe has 2 good movies. 2.5 maybe. But they were unique.

I would suggest watching this if you like "movies so bad they're good" but even then it falls short.

What a joke. M night sucks o fucking bad and I can't believe he's still allowed cart Blanche on this shit.

Glad hartnett is making a comeback of sorts and he did pretty good with the material but holy shit this was so fucking had
I had some issues with the SWAT team's protocols at the end.

I adore that M. Night has earned or seized back his carte blanche privileges. He's just out here doing goofy shit. I will go see anything he does at this point

Doing a Norwegian WW2 movie special, with two movies in a day. Been waiting to see War Sailor (Krigsseileren) since it came out.

Edit: this was excellent.

I liked the first hour of Trap; it felt very De Palmesque in how he shoots the main guy machinations to escape the stadium.

Then it’s just very weak; something that M Night suffers a lot in his filmography.

Nothing made sense. The side plot about the daughter being picked on and the mother? Completely pointless.

And, lol, the merchandise guy knowing exactly everything about the FBI take down, codes, and literally just giving that up to him? Taking him down under the arena to get more merch? Completely giving away how the plot point of how he was going to get out? Literally the worst writing in any movie ive ever seen.

This will be on "How did this get made?" some day and i can't wait.

There’s a merch guy role? This is poised to become a Jamily cult classic.

Strat, what if I told you that the pop star in the movie, Lady Raven, is played by none other than M Night's own real life daughter, an aspiring pop star

Yeah I was assuming that this movie was mainly just a vehicle to give his daughter more exposure.
Didn't hate Trap, didn't really like it either

Sounds like a similar situation as Old. Cool premise, shitty execution

I'll watch it at some point

Loved part 1 of Horizon despite its flaws (thought the San Pedro Valley stuff was considerably weaker than the other two sections and ending with a long preview montage for part 2 is a seriously bizarre choice). Stellar cast and everyone brings it, and the Montana/Wyoming scenery is stunningly gorgeous. Haven't seen that kind of imagery in a movie in a long time.
