Linval Thompson - baby father is my personal favorite reggae album I’ve found, I’ve played it so many times since I discovered it. (Really and truly)

I tired a few at work today, it’s not for me, but I can see a pretty energetic live show from itChris_H_2 wrote:i'm not sure why she's trending, but when we saw her (it's a woman btw) in march, the fans were awesomedimejinky99 wrote:VinylGuy wrote:she is the new pop thingBi_3 wrote:What the hell is this "Chappell Roan" thing all over the internet today?
i havent preemptively hated a band like this without hearing a single note, in my entire life and its all down to the fans..
this is some kind of karma.

I think she's awesome. Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess feels like a Greatest Hits album, every song is good. And "Good Luck Babe" is an impressive piece of songwriting

All the sleepy ballads ruin the album for me but “Red Wine Supernova” is undeniable

Bruce Springsteen and Chris McCandless were secretly the same person a couple of decades apart.

Re: Post Random Music-Related Thoughts You Have
For no particular reason I have endeavored to create a playlist where each song is my favorite song from that year, from 1964 to present. One song per year. No repeat artists.
What I thought would be a fun and rewarding exercise (because I love making playlists) has proven itself an extremely annoying ordeal -- every time I think of the perfect song for a year, it turns out it's not from the year I thought. It's from the next year over or the year before, where I have already picked another song with enormous personal significance. Or I think of this great song from an album released in 1974, but before putting it in the 1974 slot I find out it was actually released as a single in late 1973.
There's no stopping me now though. I'm finishing this thing. And I am POSTING it.

1972 and 1993 were surprisingly stacked years

I'm very excited to see this playlist. I've had similar projects in the past but I usually cave and end up doing 2 songs per year or repeating artists...
Godspeed, good sir.

Ain't nothin' surprising about how stacked 1993 is.
