I can't even do a ponytail right, after 7 years of having a daughter. No way I'm even attempting braids.

One braid trick is to ponytail the hair first to corral it in, then braid the ponytail.

So glad I have boys. They have a hard enough time brushing their teeth twice a day.

The Bam Fam is doing Disneyworld for the kids’ birthday in a couple months. Just booked round trip Seattle/Orlando in main cabin 4 people for under $1400 total, nonstop flights at decent hours. I think that’s pretty damn good.

We had told the kids about this a while back … but then told them we had to cancel it (we honestly did plan to cancel it) due to a major plumbing repair that came up at our house. But it didn’t cost as much as we feared it would and now we can still do this trip. Gonna pack for them and surprise them morning-of on the way to the airport.

We had looked at the various parks and attractions. They want to do (in order of preference) Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios (all one day each). No interest really in Epcot. Any tips on Disneyworld would be appreciated. Been a looonggg time since I visted a Disney park and I don’t know how the Genie / Fast Passes work to help cut down time wasted waiting in line.

Also for the non-Disney days any other tips on kid things in Orlando? We’re not planning on renting a car. Hotel is about 7 miles from the Disney parks.

Definitely no Epcot. Keep that Bam Fam tradition of staunch isolationism alive and well.

Fast Passes are pretty much able to be purchased now. No more getting three per day and having to wait particular times to sign up. If you want one for Space Mountain or whatever, you just pay the $$ per head and you’re in.

Buy the dining plan and photo plan. Both are absolutely worth it.

Restaurant reservations we liked: Chef Mickey for breakfast. Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. Tusker House buffet at Animal Kingdom.

If you go to Disney Springs you can get a big ass Ghirardelli sundae for a snack credit.

Buy some shit pins on eBay so your kids can trade pins. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266613973231

Everest, Millennium, and Rock-'n'-roll coaster have single-rider lines that let you walk right on if 1 or 2 of your family members want a bonus ride.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

The transition from the crib to toddler bed to big bed has been ROUGH for the youngest. How is this kid not tired?

i came across some interesting looking workbooks- english and math - at the post office of all places. anyway, it's amazing watching what my kid can already do in both (not bragging, there's plenty she can't).

Does that color your hair or just clean it in a manly way?

My kid’s teacher has recommended she meet with an OT to assess her underdeveloped fine motor skills. Glad this is being caught now in case there is an issue.
