Venice is where I asked Gwyneth Paltrow to lunch. Very fond memories of that city, but last time there was 99. I've heard it's become overcrowded with tourists.
ha..you and I both have food related Gwyneth stories
what are they
my wife and I were having dinner at the spotted pig in nyc with 2 friends..the waitress brought us our bill before were even ready to go and tried to nicely ask if we could hurry up because we were sitting at her favorite booth and that she was soon to arrive...we took our time and I "accidentally" spilled my cup of ice water all over the seats..dick move? I dont think so
I think I've told this before on here, but I was walking around Venice with some friends. We saw a group of American college girls being giddy and giggling. We looked over and saw Gwyneth and a friend. So we went over and got some pictures with her. Later that day, while walking around, we ran in to them again. One of my friends jokingly said "we should see if they want to eat with us". I was young and dumb and figured what the hell, so I walked up to her, she recognized me and said hello, and I asked if her and her friend would like to join us for lunch. She politely declined and we parted ways. I think she was there filming the Talented Mr. Ripley?
Both mighty yarns. Thank you.

Also I did end up deciding to stay at the snooty overpriced hotel across from wrigley field. At least it’ll have a nice view.

Well, we've finally made it to travel day. After a stupid slog at work the past month or so I've finally finished my last big "must do" job and sent the emails out to all our regular clients saying we are done and off for the next month.

We fly out of Perth at 2245 this evening, with a lovely 12 hour hop to Doha. Will be in Venice Saturday afternoon.

Been looking forward to this one hugely. Never been to Italy nor Greece before, so let's get to it.

Music sorted on my phone, got the charger brick ready and 2 books packed in the bag. Let's hope Qatar are comfy and have decent food.

Man, I can't honestly believe the day has finally arrived. Let's gooooo!!

Pack and keep hand sanitizer on you, brother. I got an epic case of gastro after visiting the Colosseum, which nearly ruined my first trip to Rome. Just viruses and bacteria from all corners of Earth descending on the same popular tourist spots this time of year.

I’m long past the time in my life where living in a city (in the US) is attractive to me, but if I had to choose it’d definitely be Chicago
