so i went to the swell season show last night and it was beautiful. so very glad we got to be a stop on the tour. brought a friend who was not at all familiar with swell season/hansard/frames and she was moved to tears.

When Your Mind's Made Up
The Moon
If You Want Me
This Low
Sleeping
In These Arms
Low Rising (with Sometimes It Snows in April (Prince) snippet)
My Roots Go Deep (Markéta Irglová song) (Brand new song; Live debut)
Return (Glen Hansard song)
Lies
Feeling the Pull
What Are We Gonna Do (Glen Hansard song)
Into the Mystic (Van Morrison cover)
I Have Loved You Wrong (with Aida Shahghasemi)
Fool's Game (Glen Hansard song) (with Aida Shahghasemi)
Say It to Me Now (The Frames cover) (Glen acoustic at front of stage)
Leave (Glen solo)
Falling Slowly
Gold (Interference cover)

The Hill (Markéta Irglová song) (Marketa solo)
Her Mercy (Glen Hansard song) (with Bird On a Wire (Cohen) snippet)
Passing Through (Pete Seeger cover) (Acoustic at front of stage)

Note: "Once" on the printed setlist but not performed. Show performed as a trio (Glen, Marketa, Joe) due to other band members having visa issues.

That’s a pretty perfect set list from them.
Watching glen and Mar’s Instagram pages and they’re having a fuckin whale of a time already.
Delighted your pal was into it. Those songs have something special and specific to those two.
They’re a wonder to see playing together.

Ten years ago tonight. Again have to thank Dime for the heads up on tickets... amazing that it was my last time in the city.

he did drive all night at the show i saw back around that time, too, and i remember it being a highlight. it was in a late stretch of songs where he did hold on magnolia and prince's the cross (with a bit of his own social commentary thrown in as well).

dude knows how to perform a memorable cover.

Going to see him tonight.

If you haven’t seen the fairytale of New York at Shane’s funeral, just watch.
You’ll experience all the emotions in just a few minutes. But comes out singing and dancing :)

My gf is a huge fan, I never cared much for his albums. But she dragged me to a live show of his in 2019 and holy shit he blew me away. Just saw him again a week or two ago and again, fantastic, including the songs from his latest album which just doesn’t sound good

I understand he opened with Farewell Transmission for the second night of Fenway. I’ve never been a huge fan but I do have the Molina covers record that he made like 10 years ago.
