Im honestly kind of shocked reading about what happened now that he ACTUALLY killed somebody while texting and driving? Its kind of...disappointing that eddie wouldn't care about that? he's worth his spot on stage for singing with EV alone. he obviously adds percussive parts. he does the vocal loop at the end of DOTC, i'm not sure if there's anything else in the catalouge he's done that for? he plays guitar on 'something special' which he helped write, i dunno what else he plays guitar on.

i wish he played some sort of brass instrument. i wanna see him back there with a giant saxophone doing weird shit to quiet songs.

I regret that I have to inform you that Jason Isbell has his own Kringlehoffer on tour with him. While he doesn't wear a stupid beanie or comically oversized headphones, he is back there in the same spot at the back left of the stage acting suspicious. He had a drum set, a guitar, and also sang backup on some songs.
