Again, it's been mentioned but that Given to Fly was incredible in the building. No idea if it'll translate in video or on boots but in the building it was incredible. GTF is one of my very favorite PJ songs and they've played it at almost every show I've been to but the last few shows I've felt like it doesn't hit quite like it should. But man. With Ed practically seething at the beginning and having whipped the crowd up before exploding into it, it was really something. The energy was as if they were playing GTF but channeling Leash. It was unreal. The whole song hit differently The lyrics felt different. It wasn't about escape or transcendence, it was about a person defiantly rising back up, middle fingers to the world. Which in some ways I guess is part of what it's always been. There was just so much rage in this one. It was so powerful it might affect how I view the song forever. Easily the highlight of the night.

yeah, im reading all these comments and i couldnt agree more...GTF, or even Betterman are those songs that live, they just hit you with something else, could be a memory, a moment, or a feel but they have that extra stuff that this band always bring.

Agree, but there was something about betterman in the #2 slot that was really off. You gotta build up to that moment not push it happen.

i wouldnt say it didnt work, but it was unsettling in a weird way, at least at first. we are trained at this point to have certain expectations

It was a wild swing, but I thought it really worked. I've often wondered why they don't open with it ever, honestly. The folks around me really dug it. I thought it really got the show moving after Pendulum.

Bullseye. I think Ed was consciously cultivating maximum crowd engagement with this setlist. And, to my mind, it paid off.
