i will say that, when thinking back when the daughter and i saw her back in 2022, that was probably one of the best, most fun crowds for a *big* show that i'd been in. the gheys love them some dua lipa, and i'm there for it.
She's so fucking good.
I got in a semi-fight (all fun and good humored) with a friend a few nights ago about how much she rocks. This friend is... not a fan, and I did all I could to change her mind.
Megadeth review and videos from last night in the pit. Seeing Dave Mustaine solo 10 feet away from me was a new highlight of 20 years of concert going.
Dua Lipa is hot and her music sucks, there's a "put it on mute and watch" sorta person.
I’m going to see Local H at the Metro in Chicago next month for the 20th anniversary of their 5th record Whatever Happened to PJ Soles? that Jorge never listened to. Pearl Jam is the band I’ve seen the most by far. Local H is second. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else above single digits except Cornell in his various groups and solo ventures.
Here’s the list no one asked for. Some pretty sweet Midwest venues along the way, though:

I don’t give a shit about Halloween, but it’s weird I’ve spent two of them with this band. I spent one with Pearl Jam in Mt. View. They dressed up like Village People in the encore.
I saw Local H once in 2016 when they were opening for Helmet. I’m not a big fan but my wife loves them and has seen them at least one other time. She hung out with Scott at the merch table for a while I was waiting for Helmet to start.
I'm not impressed by Morbid Angel's recent live "performances", which ended in things like a tornado hitting the building and killing someone, or Trey having a seizure or some shit, or Trey falling down fucked up on drugs, or Trey writing "KILL AOC" all over his arms and trying to "fish for rats" with a fishing rod with pizza tied to it. Say what you will about David Vincent era Morbid Angel but they weren't this fucked, that's why I said I'd rather go see him and Pete Sandoval's band over Morbid in 2024. None of their problems are on Steve Tucker but rather everyone else.
I might get tickets to The Jesus Lizard, King Diamond or KMFDM this fall but I can probably only swing one of them. I'm seeing Opeth next month up next, now I just hope they don't play their whole new (probably shitty and delayed until November) album.
