I fully expect that Klinghoffer will soon be leaving Pearl Jam to join up with Killdozer.

Josh definitely should face the full extent of the law for this. But it’s not like he’s Harvey Weinstein here. I’d think even less of the band if they canned him over this.
did you make this post while driving?

Criminal charges usually come before civil.

From a band that has pushed morality so hard for so many years, it would be nice to get an official statement.

And we get radio silence because that band died years ago.

Perhaps they will address it on Sunday Morning.
As they sip Cafe Vienna International Coffee with Jane Pauley and fuel up their jet.
And discuss how they come come up with a different setlist every night for tours they didn't rehearse for.

Feels like they already released a statement 02.

Im also confused and surprised that they haven't reacted to this. I didn't know about it until recently. He actually killed somebody because he was texting while driving? I know Eddie Vedder is not the moral police but as hes somebody who clearly has a big heart and cares about people Im just shocked he can somehow look the other way so easily?

it's only considered a misdemeanor?

That doesn't seem right.

Without gross negligence.

In California, vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence is a misdemeanor that can result in up to one year in county jail and a fine of up to $1,000. This is also known as non-gross or simple negligent vehicular manslaughter.

Vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence is charged when a driver is found to have acted with ordinary negligence, which is defined as failing to act in a way that a reasonable person would in the same situation. For example, a driver who rolls through a stop sign or speeds a few miles over the limit in a residential neighborhood could be charged with ordinary negligence.

That’s absolutely mad.

In contrast, in my state:

“It is an offence to drive a vehicle in a culpably negligent manner, recklessly, or at a speed or in a manner dangerous to any person, if that conduct causes the death of another [Criminal Law Consolidation Act 1935 (SA) s 19A].

The maximum penalty for a first offence which is a basic offence is imprisonment for fifteen years and mandatory licence disqualification for at least ten years.”
