Captain Phillips was better than I expected, but it's not amazing or anything. Just solid.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers has Paul Rudd in it. And he's awful. But it's great.

That´s part 6 right? It had lots of production problems, with a non sensical cut from the studio. The original script seemed fun...

What happened with that Halloween 3D movie they were making?

I'm pretty excited that In Bruges has been added to Netflix streaming.

I watched Tom Hanks vs. The Pirates today. It was alright. The actors who played the pirates were really good, especially the one perpetually angry dude. The events in the climax must have been Hollywoodized to the extreme. It all felt kind of banal after having watched "A Hijacking", which is such a devastating experience.

There Will be Blood, which made up for the other film we watched tonight...

Room 237. Pretty tiresome listening to people who think themselves so smart.

yeah Captain P. was good. Greengrass & his editors sure know how to make things move fast while at the same time paying great attention to detail. The best editing crew in the movies. And yeah the acting was phenomenal all around. Hanks' last few minutes were pretty special.

This is how I felt every week during a Kubrick class. I'm kind of scared to watch it in fear of having flashbacks.
