Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Those lyrics remind me of Mellon Collie-era Corgan, who did his best to ape Smith at every turn. I mean, it's understandable.

Having heard "Endsong" at the shows last year, this made me laugh

You ever listen to The Cure before?
For real, man!

I like the new song OK, more than I thought I would from the teaser clip at least.

I'm still wary about the new album but I'm glad they're finally releasing it.

That long ass intro was fucking amazing live as an opener though.

It's great in the studio version too. Strat and Joe are wrong. Lock 'er up.

I hope the album is packed full of meandering slow crushing depression

Dregs by Ernest Christopher Dowson

The fire is out, and spent the warmth thereof,
(This is the end of every song man sings!)
The golden wine is drunk, the dregs remain,
Bitter as wormwood and as salt as pain;
And health and hope have gone the way of love
Into the drear oblivion of lost things.
Ghosts go along with us until the end;
This was a mistress, this, perhaps, a friend.
With pale, indifferent eyes, we sit and wait
For the dropped curtain and the closing gate:
This is the end of all the songs man sings.
Sometimes I wanna drive around and find you
And act like it's a random thing

I need this album now

however much I love "Alone" (and I do), I realised when I reheard the live version that it's "Endsong" I'm really waiting for

Possibly the most Cure fan statement ever.

That kind of thing really didn’t take over until near the end of their run of classics though. Not that I’m complaining mind you

It's funny- Disintegration is one of my absolute favorite albums ever. Strangely, however, I haven't really gotten to know the rest of their albums much at all.
