Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Easy Tiger has grown on me a lot over the last year or so. It's the one I reach for the most anymore. But Heartbreaker is still my hands down favorite.

Easy Tiger is his most listenable from top to bottom. Easygoing awesomeness. But I think Love is Hell is his "best". He outdid Morrissey. I'd put his top 6 against anyone else from the 2000s.

1 - Love is Hell
2 - Easy Tiger
3 - Jacksonville City Nights
4 - Heartbreaker
5 - Cold Roses
6 - Gold
7 - Demolition
8 - Rock N Roll
9 - Ashes & Fire
10 - Cardinology
11 - 29
12 - III/IV

I haven't heard Cardnology or III/IV. I'm not sure I even know what III/IV is.

He can certainly do some things with just an acoustic guitar and a harmonica.

Ashes & Fire is his best since Easy Tiger.

Ashes and Fire is just missing something though. Its hard to explain. Some good songs there for sure, but its just not the same.

It's not consistent all the way through and is missing the buoyancy that a few more well-placed rockers would provide. That said, it's certainly more consistent than his other recent output.

Cardinology is okay to pretty good but if I'm reaching into the ol' CD book for one over the other I'm goin' Ashes & Fire.

That said, Cobwebs might win best song out of those two. Ryan at his most U2 (in a good way).
