Re: Albums of 2024
I think their two proper singles compilations are the best place to start:
- Standing on a Beach, covering 1978 to 1985
- Galore, covering 1987 to 1997.

As an avid enjoyer of Elliott Smith for many years I am predictably giving the new Christian Lee Huston record a lot of air time.

Re: Albums of 2024
The new Shovels & Rope album is fine. Nothing too exciting, honestly. Maybe it'll grow on me.
But the new Bright Eyes is solid. Nowhere near top tier. But still very surprising and enjoyable.

Re: Albums of 2024
I checked out David Gilmour new album "Luck and Strange" before heading off to see him in Rome the other night. The album is nice enough, good for background for sure, but the song his daughter Romany Gilmour, sings, Between Two Ponts, is excellent. This was beautifully done at the concert.
Free boops today.

nice. the singles i've heard sound like War On Drugs, and I'm not mad about it.Chris_H_2 wrote:my buddy got a copy somehow and sent it to me.dad wrote:is it out already?Chris_H_2 wrote:holy crap, this new Wild Pink album is VERY good. I'm loving it.

It's out on streaming here (Australia) so I'm sure it will be available elsewhere in the next 12-24 hours.

The new Smile record is today's soundtrack. I think I prefer the non-singles to the singles.
