This is a very good record.

I think my favorite thing about this album is that it's good enough that I don't need to put pj chat on suicide watch for at least a few more years

Eh, the only one that would need suicide watch would be Harmless. The rest of the people who don't/wouldnt like are pretty much completely over PJ anyways...

It has been shockingly tolerable around here though. The people who don't like it (save for a few) have actually given it a shot and explained their opinion. Who'da thunk?

i feel like the song lightning bolt was commissioned by abc.

ed lyrics don't flow over the music that well here. i doubt matt is still impressed

why can't mike get snowed in again

i wish mym wasn't a single because i really like it but ive heard it too much

my fathers son is like a candy cane to the green river killer. terrible story ed

the breakdowns stink on these songs. they should just insert 'i sometimes realize' from hailhail in every song

but im ok with all of it. they made getaway

If Matt isn't impressed, all he has to do is up his game and be impressive.

Getaway.

I can't imagine a single way possible that this song could be better than it is.

That they can knock out something like this at this stage is so brilliant.

What a great song

Great song. One of my favorite parts is when the instruments come back into the song after the section with just Ed and the drums.

I for one am pleased that certain people are not beating a dead horse like they did for Backspacer. Some people spent 2 years and tens of thousands of posts to re-iterate, in Tourette's-like fashion, that they didn't like it. I was seriously thikning mental health issues were a cause. I'm all for criticism, but it was so far over the top it was ridiculous. W/ LB, it's appeared to be generally reasonable and measured cirticism. Then again, it's early. People could come back on this time next year and spend their entire workdays for 2 years repeating a criticism reflexively over and over. Knock on wood, good so far.

Yeah, the worst thing about people with mental health issues is that they don't like some PJ albums.

Well, inaccurate. But I'm fine about it. You sound about twelve.
Inaccurate? Lol you're always here you have 15000 posts. Clearly you're not a working contributing member of society. And if you are gainfully employed you should be fired for posting here 24/7. lol.
Dont mess with Harmless. He is one of the cool ones.
Yeah, harmless is consistently wrong about Pearl Jam but that is no reason to make things personal.

After several months of staring at VTT's signature that's how I sing the l-bolt chorus now :(

True story: when I scrolled down and realised you'd replied to this post, I thought your complaint would be that I'd moved in on your RM territory regarding Pearl Jam.
