I’m not seeing reports of significant fatalities, so it sounds like the evacuation and emergency measures largely worked against the weakened stor

and reward is saving a few hours drive to safety and cost of a motel room

we should choose the option that entails risk of loss of life

I know of at least one coffee shop across the street from the beach near Tampa that was completely destroyed by Helene. I imagine anyone who was a "stick it out" kind of person got fucked by Helene and weren't up for round two.
