Is it time to pull the plug on this one as a single and release Won't Tell?

Back in my day, edgy bands like Pearl Jam didn’t make music videos.

It's moving up slowly. Currently at #18 on the rock charts. I think the slow speed at which it's moving does speak to a limited ceiling it will have.

I'm actually curious what their current strategy is. It hasn't gotten any plays (literally 0) at Alternative. That suggests to me that they probably didn't even release or push it there. It makes me wonder what the plan is since I would assume they'd want a single that would get played at both formats. In other words, is there something else coming.

Same. Really odd that they didn't release it to Alternative stations.

It demands attention no matter what precedes it.

I hardly ever listen to PJ on shuffle, but I did so on Saturday while playing a board game with my kid. We were six or seven songs in when WFS came on, and I realized I'd never set myself up to be, like, surprised by it (aside from that first listen through Dark Matter). Out of the blue, those first chords are striking and sublime.

Is this most divisive track in the catalog? Seems like people either think it's a 6/5 are a solid 3 with little in between.

its not even that memorable a riff - it gets swallowed up by the wall of sound feel of the song. But those first few moments are about as huge as they have ever sound. it just feels fucking important. i still will sometimes repeat those first 10ish seconds a few times before i let it play through

Yeah, it's weird and magical that "important" and "huge" aspect of it.
