Re: Sirens
this was one of the weaker lbolt songs live (it wasn't bad or anything, but most of that record translated really well) but I have to say that EVERYONE around me was super into it. I think the thing that makes the studio version work is how the fragile nature of the song plays against its superficial bigness, and that's lost a bit live. At least in the middle of an arena show. I think it would be much better if they did it as a stand alone piece, like on Fallon or something

Re: Sirens
For me, this is still the crowning achievement of the album.

it gets me every time. Especially the pre-chorus.. "it’s a fragile thing, this life we lead...by which we live our lives with death over our shoulders.Monkey_Driven wrote:Just listened to the song with the actual lyrics. Hit me hard for some reason.

It's the first chorus, I think. Or the first half of a really, really long chorus.theplatypus wrote:Isn't that the chorus?southp wrote:it gets me every time. Especially the pre-chorus.. Re: Sirens
Though it doesn't sink quite as low, Sirens is a worthy successor to The Fixer, and I mean that in the worst way imaginable.
