I almost said this reflexively but when I thought of LV's notion of Singles I felt it was perhaps too early to be '90s.

I adore Empire Records Joe but the '90s need a sex-tape reference of some sort...

Reality Bites is a good choice. Before Sunrise also came to mind. Not so much aesthetically but the ideas expressed and the whole tone of it, feels extremely 90s/Gen X
