Went on a 4 day dive trip there in 99. Forgot to take Dramamine until I stepped on the boat. The dock was still in sight the first time I puked. The only time I felt okay was during dives. The surface was a nightmare. I never puked in my regulator, but damn near. I went through oxygen super fast because I was laboring so badly. Incredible experience, but it was really tough.spike wrote:Excursion to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef was a bust for me. You’re against ketamine, but a benzo is fine? For a 5-year-old? You know benzos cause memory loss, right?tragabigzanda wrote:I was waiting for them to pick me up on their way home from the ear place.
At the ER now and they want to give her fucking ketamine. I’m not giving my kid a dissociative experience for this stupid ear thing, benzodiazepine will be fine thanks

your kid sounds like a pain in the ass. is it too late to put up for adoption?tragabigzanda wrote:Yes we talked all about it. Re: Talk about your day thread
My arms weren’t numb but it basically felt like food poisoning for about twenty minutes. Once I emptied my guts, a crew member gave me some cold water to sip (and rub on my forehead, supposed to help) and told me to focus on something on the horizon like a cloud.96583UP wrote:i was on a fishing charter a few weeks ago with huge swells the first 2 hours of the ride. i usually dont get sea sick, and i had two gravol (anti nausea) and was still sick. was so bad had numbness in my arms. was brutal. but then waters settled, and it went away and I felt alive again
but the thought of jumping in the water in that condition would probably just lead to drowning
After awhile, I felt like I wasn’t dying, but was totally drained, so I went to a quiet part of the boat and napped best I could. I was in no condition to swim, and focused on conserving energy for the ride home the rest of the time.
I did okay for that bit after skipping the lunch and focusing on clouds for a straight hour til we hit calmer waters. A couple hours after returning, I was up for a steak and couple beers at dinner, no problem. So weird.
