this was the first year i was used to not hearing Boyd play his parts. however tim reynolds and the horn section decided to recreate some of his stuff sounds normal to me now. buddy's solo's are also kinda awesome.

I thought they would have it as a Pay-Per-View but I think they must garner enough for open donations to do it this way, really huge

I know they have done many benefit gigs but to tail it on the end of a tour at MSG should really garner some cash and for Warren's area too. Wonderful to see that.

Hype it up with the warm-up vid:

edit: The camera over Carter's shoulder is bouncing as the MSG stage does, pretty fun.

edit# 2: the overplaying on Break Free kills me and the song live.

not to be mean, but they couldn't have picked worse songs to warm-up to.

The Soulshine benefit was cleaned up and is available here
X wrote:The show was webcasted on Youtube and also streamed on SXM. In addition, the Goose tracks were streamed on Nugs. I've used what I thought was the best combination of those sources.

Mastering was quite a long process (30+ hours), because several issues had to be fixes (mainly dropouts). Different parts of the show had different instruments and mixes, so I ended up with different setting. I have used multi band compression, imaging, EQ and limiting for a first remaster, then I gave a first full listen for a week or so, making notes of all the all the errors in the streams.

After that I fixed the errors with iZotope RX9, and that was a lot of work.

In the last phase, I did some fine tuning, track by track, making use of dynamic EQ (Waves F6 and FabFilter Q3), added glue compression were needed, and smoothen the transitions between tracks.

Guest guitar on a couple live tunes with the band and Dave guested with Dead & Co a few years ago. Interesting bill especially with Mayer enjoying his solo tours.

i mean i could be lol, but no, i'm a weirdo who's been listening to this band since middle school. there's a lot of music, a song could have 8 words and go on for 9 minutes. they do a lot of segues where they just go from one song right into the next without stopping. it's pretty impressive. the drummer and guitar player are two of the best in the world, it's worth seeing a couple of songs just for them.

if a riff starts and stops and the crowd yells "woo!" in between stay for the whole song and thank me later
