Yeah, that's pretty great. It's got hints of Prince. Prince hints.

If I like a few of their songs but have never gotten into a whole record should I be seeking this out?

"Afterlife" wasn't grabbing me before but here I really like it.

This isn't the most accessible one they've done, but it's good, so that depends on whether you want tunes you can latch onto quickly. There's quite a bit of electro / disco influence here as well, which is somewhat unusual for AF, so you might want to check out something earlier and a bit more "typical". Having said that, a band's new album is always a good place to jump on board.

Well, if Sirens didn't sound like "Learning to Fly", Supersymmetry certainly does.

These two sentences are exactly why LCD Soundsystem was the coolest kid in school.

They're also why I was super pumped about this record. That and I was excited for them to further their sound they started in Sprawl II.

I've been thinking of this long, experimental approach to Disco and what it reminds me of: Donna Summer, "I Feel Love."

There's so much African pop groove in Flashbulb Eyes.

I haven't heard the leak, but pre-ordered the album.

How present are the guitars on this album?

Joan of Arc has a bit of distorted guitar, and a few other tracks have acoustics. I think I spotted one or two little solos dotted around.

Think this is one that's going to need a lot of time. Side two was an easier ride for me than side one.
