i hate mayo, but the biscuit recipe i use calls for mayo. it adds oil and keeps them (i hate this word) moist. you can't taste a thing.

In Argentina they're definitely considered snacks, but because they're very basic and not very substantial. Argentina is definitely at the very bottom of hot dog rankings of anywhere I've visited or lived.
