Just saw a really nice house go up on Zillow, reasonable sized and priced and in exactly the neighborhood I want to be in someday. Should I ask my parents to give me $44,000 so I can have the down payment to buy it?

Five years from now, I'll be 41. Best case scenario, five years from now I am still working for the same org (under the same big umbrella but not in my current office which really blows), and I've gotten one promotion. Probably as high as I would want to go is one promotion above where I'm at right now.

I've paid off all my debts and my car is still running good. My Roth IRA is a little above one years salary, my pension will be in good shape. I could be close to having a 10% mortgage down payment, if the price of houses doesn't keep going up. Not 20%, though.

Oh, and I have 30 year old girlfriend with blonde hair and big tits

this reads less like a plan and more like a wishboard
I believe in him. Although, I'm surprised to find out he's a big tits guy.

Plan, for trag:

Continue to max out Roth IRA contributions, as I am doing now. The pension takes care of itself, I just have to keep working.

May 2025: I should be about 75% out of debt, if I continue to put aside as much money as I have been all this year towards that. And I'll get a 8% bump in pay in April, which should help to keep knocking the rest of it away, probably by the end of 2025.

July 2025: begin to apply to get the fuck out of my office, either a lateral transfer or a half-step promotion

January 2026: Car is paid off. Cross fingers that it keeps working. But it's Japanese and I only drive like 10k miles a year, so I'm feeling good there

~Fall 2026: Eligible for a promotion, which I feel fairly confident will be an easy task to accomplish, tbh. They're hurting for people in a way that will take more than two years to fix.

Just doing the math on all of that, I think I could have something like $30k in cash set aside for a house, if I decide I even want one. That's a lot of debt to take on. If I don't want a house, I will spend that $30k on drugs.

No idea how to find a blonde girlfriend, though
