I watch movies at home too, but it helps to know they played in a theater somewhere.

I have found that my chances of enjoying a movie go up a few percentage points if I experience it in a theater setting. It's my favorite method of movie consumption.
I'll watch a streaming movie too, of course, or a blu-ray. I have a good setup for it in my living room. But it's not quite the same.
But for some reason, not Babylon.

Not every time. But I know what you're driving at. Prices are insane in the US, I think it's less pronounced heretommy wrote:Jorge wrote:I love going to the movie theater, I do it at least twice a week.
Do you buy snacks and a drink every time?

I never buy concessions so I don’t even know exactly, but probably around that or more. Which is too much for me. Matinee and morning tickets are around $7.00, evening $11ishEllo Sailor wrote:Really? It's about the same in NZ.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:That’s too much

Re: Direct to streaming vs. Theatrical release
It’s legit cheaper to just blind buy the 4K Blu-ray when it comes out (which is also a better presentation). One of many reasons I don’t go anymore. It’s just not worth it.
