Franz Ferdinand. Say what you want about their music, but these guys were made for the stage... except for the embarrassingly apathetic bass player.

Re: Concerts you've been to recently
I just checked these guys out. The bassist's tone sounds so much like keyboard synth bass that it's somewhat staggering. There are usually clear tonal differences when playing an electric bass with a synth pedal but it's seamless here.cutuphalfdead wrote:Saw Polica tonight. They were fantastic. Unless that's just how his tone sounds on the one song I found on youtube, in which case that was a pretty pointless observation to make.

I saw the Yeah Yeah Yeahs tonight. They put on a really good show. Left with a new appreciation for the band.

I went into the show having not heard any of their stuff, but to me it sounded like the entire band was woven around his playing. And he was good enough for that to happen.Soma. wrote:I just checked these guys out. The bassist's tone sounds so much like keyboard synth bass that it's somewhat staggering.
