BO6 is quite good. Multiplayer is great but the campaign might be the first one I finish in over a decade.

I'm not sure how long I will stick with it, but Balatro is pretty damn good.

It's a perfect Switch/Steam Deck game.

Ok, craving some escapism. Might be time to finally start Baldur's Gate 3.

After some research, I've decided to play as a Bard. Currently exploring which race would work best.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins. It’s really trying my patience. What is the point of an RPG with no dialogue options or player input into the story/characters? So boring. It’s only fun when I get to infiltrate forts. So tired of dull side quests.

Why aren't you playing Dragon Age? It's your favorite franchise's sister series.

I don't have a Series X. Planning to upgrade this month, though.

I played Black Flag this summer. It was fine. Is Odyssey better or just the same game in Greek’s clothing?

Black Flag is my second favorite AC game, I loved that when it came out. But Odyssey is bigger, more creative, and adds better RPG elements.

Yeah, Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla have significantly more RPG elements than previous entries.

I'm already overwhelmed by BG3.

Is that due to it being open-ended in terms of where you can go, or due to the complexity of its systems?

Getting the hang of turn-based combat was a huge hurdle for me (it had probably been about 6 years since I had played XCom, which was, IMO, way more punishing). Looking back, all of my prep and positioning for combat for most of act I were awful, so if I ever go back to play again, I’m sure that part of the game will be smoother. There were plenty of things I missed, too, so I’d like to go back and try a completely different path to see what else I can unlock. It’s worth the investment, as I’m sure you’ve heard from everybody who liked it.

Complexity or systems and decision paralysis. I just don't typically play this type or game so I need to adapt.

Luckily, I am familiar with table top D&D.
