The only time I've ever heard one of these was at a Scouting ceremony where they recognized the ancestral lands of the Tribe that worked with them on the ceremony. I assume the Tribe preferred the recognition to nothing.

Almost certainly not, but it probably comes closer than ignoring the fact we benefit from their loss altogether.
