I'm not sticking my fingers in my ear. I've listened to Ezra for a long time. What he said is nothing new, not for him, and not for many on the left. But whomever that tweet is from presents it as some kind of revelation! It's disingenuous. It's the same thing you do all the time when you post. Create a narrative, usually it's snarky and in bad faith, and post without further context or elaboration. It's not uncommon on the right at all. That's what I have a problem with. That's the hypocrisy. But, of course, I don't imagine you'd see it or validate it.

I mean... the dude literally has an entire podcast where he does this. He's done it for years. He was asking for Biden to step down way before anyone else. He has several books that talk about what progressives have gotten wrong. There are so many examples of this. Pick one episode of his pod to listen to. Pick one of his books to read.Bi_3 wrote:I’ll take the bait, show me where Klein has attacked progressives over those things in the context of the electionepilogue wrote:No, that's not it all. This is what I mean about the right. Ya'll create a narrative and the right wing media ecosystem sends that shit out into the world and people believe it, but you never actually listen to what these liberals are saying. You assume Ezra Klein is some sort of out of control progressive, but that's literally never been the case. You don't listen to him, you listen to the commentary about him. And then you accuse the left of having fingers in their ears. It's maddening! And, yes, it's hypocritical.

Also, I said he "has several books" I meant he has several essays. He doesn't actually have "several books." That's me typing too fast.

Republicans had a cordial tour of the Capitol Building. Democrats are violently sad and self-reflective. I think it's clear who the terrorists are.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Do you prefer they storm Congress?Bammer wrote:The whole doom and gloom thing that people are doing now is like the ultimate lulz.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

However good a writer he may be, it's unlikely he articulated criticisms of the Harris campaign's inability to address the public's perception of the results of the Biden administration's domestic policies in a book written in 2019. Possible, but unlikely. We are talking pre vs post COVID lockdowns, BLM riots, inflation, border security failures, etc. How many mottes you got back there?epilogue wrote:Maybe start with Why We're Polarized.
