It's so good that it transcends the TV thread and has earned a place in the movies thread

Sadly, Gladiator II isn’t very good.

Not surprised. If you're someone like let's say me, who has been jones'ing to go to the theater for awhile but the options suck, is it worth it for matinee price?spike wrote:Sadly, Gladiator II isn’t very good.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I thought Crowe was such a baller actor back then too. He is good, but not to the level I used to think.tragabigzanda wrote:Well here’s the thing…the original Gladiator is a pretty mixed bag. In our memories it’s awesome, but everything that happens outside the coliseum is pretty hokey.

Re: What movies are you watching?
At least the first one had memorable performances from Crowe, Phoenix, Oliver Reed, and some of the side characters. Denzel is pretty good in the new one, but everyone else is forgettable.
