Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

"Masterpiece" is a bit strong but it's very good, my third or fourth favorite of the franchise. The Special Edition is significantly better than the theatrical, though.

Very unfair to conflate these. AVPR is awful. AVP is well-made, well-written, well-cast, and tons of fun.

unfair? they are a part of a franchise, and those two more linked by being spin offs.

im only adding them because the Halloweenies Podcast did a recent series of episodes on all the movies and they talked bout both of them.

But i dont think about them at all.

It does, but it also feels like the first episode on a tv show. Which makes sense, giving that Whedon was a tv star at the time. Ultimately feels like a lesser sequel and with that in mind i get to enjoy it more.
