My wife and I had some special shakes expecting just weed and mushies but our guesthouse said that place also used opium as well. We got the trifecta. Our happy holiday and move across the world hit a doom wall with those shakes. We both felt afterwards as if we had cloud, a weight on us and that we'd made the wrong choice. It was very down for a few weeks.

It's a loose town, many die tubing or with the buckets. Unfortunately. It is however a beautiful spot.

Holy shit. I get the guilts just having a McDonalds vanilla thickshake. Can't imagine what that would have been like.

Glad you are both through it 'sleep. Fragility of life indeed.

It scares me to think how many times I could have easily died while travelling in my early 20s, but Laos sounds next level. Glad you lived to tell the tale.

The special pizzas in Phnom Penh are another story. Trippin on the King’s birthday celebration with heaps of fireworks and in Cambodia there are lots of landmine victims. It was surreal and horrific.

I hear you about risky shit while travelling. Glad we're here.

Love Cambodia. Took my wife and kids for a family holiday through Cambodia and Thailand so it was all very above board.
Cambodia had very lax rules regarding any sort of medication. Need some Vicodin? not an issue. Plenty of people did some damage with that sort of stuff.
I remember before I left I was told not to take the cocaine in Cambodia as often mixed with other things. Now I had no intention of taking cocaine but good to know regardless.

I've read a few stories about people dying in India while on drug benders too.

It's Ok (what have got you against it Spenno?!) Was a bit weird knowing it was coming though as Ed announced it as a request before Daughter began.

Ed did something similar at Melbourne 2 with Animal, announcing they'd be playing it later in the show when he rambled for what felt like an eternity before TYAAM.

As for It's OK, I just really dislike it musically. It has this preachy, quasi-"praise and worship" quality that's like nails on a chalkboard for my ears.

It's a big stepdown from the standard Daughter outro, which I could listen to for 10 minutes if they wanted to jam it out.

And having now seen it twice as a result of a fan request, what a waste of that opportunity! You could ask for anything and you blew it!

Fair enough - it certainly is preachy, I'm just a sucker for that chord progression.

That Laos story is horrifying.

My experience in Thailand and Cambodia is the exact opposite, i did all of that and nothing happened. I know im very very lucky, because i even did the mushrooms drink and everything was alright.
