We all seem to agree that the callbacks in Romulus were corny, but it wasn't enough to ruin the film! Only a joyless cretin would consider that a dealbreaker!

And Ruddo hated Alien: Covenant, so he can't be trusted.

Love the book. Not nuts for the musical on stage -- some amazing themes but not sure it totally works. But I've loved what Chu has done so far and the Cynthia Erivo is a fucking goddess! So, we'll see. I have medium expectations, but it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow so I'm looking forward to it.
We’re going to the movies on Thanksgiving. All my girls are picking Wicked. I’m praying to Oz there’s something else I can watch. Saw the play many moons ago. Don’t need to see the movie.
Did you ever read the book?
I’ve read maybe half, maybe more than half of the original Baum series, but no, I’ve not read the Wicked book.
The first Wicked book is outstanding.

The film adaptation of the musical is wonderful! I like it more than the stage version. Partly because of the exceptional cast, and partly because of the extra time spent weaving in stuff from the novel that the stage show doesn't have time for.

This movie is fantastic. I could go on forever about what I liked and disliked but I imagine no one here cares.

Highly recommend. :heartbeat:
the Wicked musical is my favourite thing ever of all time in history

I'm seeing the movie tonight, I'll report back! I'm going in full witch bitch cosplay
YEEEEES! I love it!

I really hope you love it as much (or more!) than I did! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! Especially since you're a huge fan of the stage musical. Be very interested to see what you think. :heartbeat:
you know this already, but I thought it was incredible, everything I wanted it to be and more! I can't wait to watch it again when it comes to streaming, and I'm SO eagerly awaiting part 2

I forget if you've mentioned before, but have you read the book?

I'm just so glad you loved it! You never know with these things, especially when one is a huge fan going in.

I've read bits and pieces of the book (my ex loved it), not the whole thing; I don't have the patience for most prose novels

yes I think so; the flying monkeys may be a little scary is all I'd say, but they're in the last act

Cuz, it's time to admit that song sucks. Don't bring Shellac into this.
