It's okay. You probably lashed out like that because deep down you know that you're wrong about this.

Re: What movies are you watching?
I haven’t seen it yet but I think it’s impossible for me to be disappointed by an Alien film at this point since last one I enjoyed was 38 years ago

Revisiting The Guns of Navarone. Oh baby does this movie have juice. Inspiring craftsmanship. I’m betting this was a pretty big influence on Ronin.

Re: What movies are you watching?
for all that that "holding space" video / meme was hilarious, it did actually mean something (to me, I got it) and the journalist has clarified what she meant by it:
https://x.com/PopBase/status/1861261051 ... hW7jw&s=19
for me, Wicked has always resonated with my own trajectory and experience as a trans woman -- an allegory, almost -- and the first time I heard Defying Gravity I fucking wept embarrassingly loudly in public

Re: What movies are you watching?
Anybody seen this? I assume the Star Wars nerds have.
Not much of a plot and I had to crank the speed up, but it sure looks pretty.Black Angel is a 1980 British short fantasy film that was shown before the theatrical release of The Empire Strikes Back in certain locales. It was the directorial debut of Star Wars art director Roger Christian. The film negative was thought to be lost until it was rediscovered in December 2011. In June 2015, it was announced that Christian was working on a feature film adaptation of Black Angel which would be partly funded through crowd-funding site Indiegogo.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Cromwell 1970 - a bit dry and by the numbers, but I enjoyed it.
The Madness of King George 1994 - I found this to be a cruel, ugly little movie. Fail!
The Bounty 1984 - boy, that young Mel Gibson was a handsome fella! Think I've seen it before. Too much kissing, not enough naval warfare. Pretty good.
Give me some more recommendations of movies with fancy costumes, please.

The Justine Triet movie? It's so good. I also really liked Sibyl.
