Just realized this was the last show. :( Damn, this has been such a fun year to be a Pearl Jam fan unless you were scheduled to go to one of the cancelled gigs. I sure hope they don’t take next year off entirely.

Couple more thoughts

Ed came on stage during Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers to congratulate them on their ARIA award, reducing them to tears. Genuine respect.

I think it was during Porch Jeff and Mike started running in circles and Ed tried to join in and nearly took out Jeff then later during Baba Ed was swinging the mic and nearly took out Mike.

Absolutely great show that rivals any other PJ gig I've seen. 95 as a teenager will never be topped but this one was a different beast that this 48yo enjoyed the hell out of. 10 years is too long between shows, let's go again.

It is too long. Did you have the thought that this might be the last time? I sure do hope if they ever make a decision to hang it up rather than have it just happen, they do dates in NA, SA, Oz, and Europe. I really want to know when I’m saying good-bye.

Before the shows it felt like it could be the last tour here but not now. It feels like they’ll be back in the 2 years Ed mentioned.

A mate came to visit as it was my bday and I honestly can’t think of a better way to spend a few days. Hopefully next time I can take my son to a show. Doubt my daughter would be in to it enough.

I think so, yes.

Though that’s subject to whether you count Josh, it sounds like he sung the harmony vocal on the verse in Sydney.

Only counts if someone’s out front with him, not hidden behind Jeff’s amps.

In the crowd you couldn't hear Josh singing. He must have been singly very quietly.
I will point out I was at the back of the golden circle with some people who knew what to sing and a lot that didn't.
So maybe that helped not hear Josh singing.
But as it is will dream of her tonight..

It certainly did feel like last time. One of the reasons I didn't look at the bank account and just went to all five.
After Gold Coast I started thinking OK maybe not.
Melbourne reinforced that thought.
After Sydney I am thinking a 2026 tour.

My eldest couldn't come to show this year, she has been to Vedder solo show though. I did take my youngest daughter to GC show. My wife came to both Sydney shows.
Next time all four of us will go to the same show or two.
But as it is will dream of her tonight..

Up front the crowd was loud and I mean loud. Like end of Jeremy or Alive loud. It was amazing.

You didn’t say it was your birthday! Happy Birthday!

Was linked to this today. Apparently wheels are in motion for a fan-made multi-cam already :)
