The whole concept of the thread seems to be a joking one, even with mentioning Trag in the thread title. A banter with friends type of situation. Like the dry november one, for masturbation.

I did not mean it as a dig at alcoholics. I respect the struggle they go through.
Nice guy reputation erased. You're own of us now.

Real talk though, you ever had an addiction? I guess you Norwegians are possibly too evolved for this shit. In North America you aren't really considered a man unless you have struggled with addiction and/or gotten an std.

Kill me.

Why do I still crave getting high even though it hasn't really been fun for years? Also will I ever not crave it?

I bought a pack of cigarettes tonight just cause I "need" something and I instantly feel like a piece of shit and failure. I don't even like cigs but at least my mental state is not altered by them.
Careful, friend.
I'm gonna smoke a cig in the kitchen and consider the risks associated with becoming this guy.

No, I’ve never had one.

There are addicts in Norway. More than 94% of Norwegian men drink alcohol, and more than 91% of Norwegian women. Second highest in the world. However, in total alcohol consumption, we are only 75th. There is a lot of party drinking here, and few drink alcohol during regular days, like at dinner with their family. That can work both ways, both for better or worse.

I would think Norwegians would be raging alcoholics. Cold as fuck and doesn’t it get dark at like 1pm half the year?

The weather isn't that bad really, and the summers are amazing. Of course the winter can be terrible for those that are really struggling, like people on the street, heavy drug addicts etc. But there are shelters where you can sleep and get hot food, and other things to help them.

I don't think weather is the main predictor for societal issues such as addiction.
