Re: Arcade Fire
As usual, there isn't a bad song here. They have an early Pearl Jam track record so far.

Harmless, take it to PJ chat.
Greatest band of the past 10 years easily. Increasing that time frame is a ballsy endeavor but not outside the realm of possibility.

I wouldn't argue with that even though I personally like The Nationals and Sigur Rós' output more.Soma. wrote: Greatest band of the past 10 years easily. Increasing that time frame is a ballsy endeavor but not outside the realm of possibility.

Re: Arcade Fire
I am not too familiar with The National. Sigur Ros is amazing but I'm never in the mood for it, so it remains on the shelf.

Re: Arcade Fire
One listen and I'm in love with this album. It's a major achievement. Another modern classic.
Can't believe how far these guys have come in terms of arrangements and songwriting, even thought their first album is awesome itself.

Re: Arcade Fire
Absolutely. They don't have a single album below 4 stars, but I'd give this a 4.5 and Suburbs a 5.Bob Loblaw wrote:One listen and I'm in love with this album. It's a major achievement. Another modern classic.

Re: Arcade Fire
Only listened to this once, and about to give it another listen on some proper speakers. Still need time to process, but I think it's at the least very, very good. Bring on a tour, already!

That comes down to your standards. I'm still listening to the incomplete, immediate leak on repeat. Sounds good enough.Gods' Die wrote:So there's a version out there that's good enough to download & listen to on nice headphones?

If you saw some of the girls I brought home in college you'd probably know that "good enough" is good enough for me.Soma. wrote:That comes down to your standards. I'm still listening to the incomplete, immediate leak on repeat. Sounds good enough.
