I would've thought nihilism and absurdism would be adjacent, while stoicism would be the final stage.

I guess I question stoicisms inclusion in the wheel entirely.

Existentialist/absurdist types say that stoicism ignores or suppresses genuine emotions and experiences which are necessary to living a full, authentic life. The Stoic aspires to be passionless, which is ultimately a denial of life. Absurdists embrace everything.

I think you could bounce back and forth between all four. Not so much a circle. Or they are all responses to nihilism. But then again, I guess everything is a response to nihilsm...
