I downloaded this. I'm gonna give this a good headphones listen after the girls go to bed, and we shall see what we can see.

The arrangements and production make me feel real claustrophobic, which is a weird combination with the bright and shiny tones.

Streaming this right now. Pretty enjoyable disco music so far.

Just watching a little bit of the video with this and I keep waiting for Mr. Big to appear. I can't get the movie Live and Let Die out of my mind watching this.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that Sigur Ros and Arcade Fire have been making the most interesting vaguely-mainstream music over the last ten years. I couldn't choose between them.

Thin layer of genius overlayed with an immeasurable layer of self indulgent dross.

I love it. And I don't know why.

There's a ridiculous amount of self indulgence on this album.

i worried about that on the single (which I liked). This is a LONG record, right? That might start to grate. Maybe not.

I found the last one too long, with two or three songs I could've got rid of. This one was really long but there wasn't a single second I didn't enjoy. Its self-indulgent, but a good example of how self-indulgence isn't equal to "bad", and can sometimes be brilliant.

Too soon to tell for me at this point if this album will register as brilliant or grating. It might be one of those "I need to be in a certain mood to enjoy this" albums, which is fine. And, I've really liked everything these guys have done in the past.

Everyone I know is really into that Joan of Arc song and I just can't get into it. That and Supersymmetry.

Is supersymmetry the last song?

They should leave daft punk to daft punk.

Orpheus should only be listened to whilst strutting.

Yep. I don't know whether my initial feelings will last, but probably, especially because there's so much still to delve into and hear more of. And I don't really dislike anything on it so far. I don't have the same level of investment into this band as I do PJ, though, so it's an easier decision either way.

I hear Beck's "The Information" more than anything else on this.

I'm also not sure why they couldn't make this into a single disc.

I'd like to see the lyrics to Joan of Arc, because I don't really get it. But I like it musically.
