Why can’t deviled eggs be a meal? You fry up three eggs and you’ve got yourself a meal. But six deviled eggs? Sorry, you’re snacking on some "hors d'oeuvres" there, partner.

Anyways I've had this idea of getting a rice cooker with a timer so that I could just load the rice cooker in the evening and then have my oatmeal done by the time I get out of the shower in the morning. This would save me the ~15 minutes every morning.

The first problem is that there's just too many rice cookers available and I have no idea which one to get. And the second thing is that I have no idea if it would taste as good as the one I'm making in a pot. But I guess I'll just have to get one eventually and see if it's worth it.
Do you currently have a rice cooker without a timer? Cook some with that, if you like it, buy the same brand but with a timer.
Unfortunately I don't have any sort of rice cooker at the moment. But if anyone has any experience about making oatmeal in a rice cooker then I'd be happy to hear if it's as good as the stovetop version. As much as I've tried I really don't like the microwave version.
rice cookers make rice as well or better than on the stove, so i don't see why oats would be any different.

Preach. I always get a kick out of people insisting on stovetop rice as though it's the purists way. Most Asian households use rice cookers!

Ramen is terrible for you, but have any of you gone all out with the fried egg, green onion and chili crisp/oil garnish at home? Shit is bomb.
