I think it would be cool if they switched it up...say do the sit down for Night 1, and then no sit down for Night 2 in any given city.

shit, with the shorter encore I needed the sit down set. I'm getting old, coach
Maybe this is better suited for the GD "Admit Something," thread, but my pal and I found seats late in the concert. We were tired from standing the whole time, too. Yup, I'm 36.

In Worcester, they were selling tubes for $2. There was also a merch stand outside that had plenty of posters, so I just bought it before I went in and put it in the trunk of my car. I hope the same thing goes on in Hartford.

Coach, when I was waiting outside the 10C ticket window at Worcester 1, there was a group of 4 guys exchanging tickets and one of them made a comment about not having GA tickets since Randall's Island. Was that you?

Coach wrote:Just some random thoughts to pass along. I was in GA at Worcester 1:

* I'd scratch the GA if the purpose was to get a more emotional crowd. That didn't seem to work - it seems you can only get that reaction in Europe or South America.

* Wish I had purchased reserved seats

* Thought the show lacked intensity because it wasn't in Boston proper - Ed made fun of the city's name - don't blame him - it's a sleepy city and "b" venue

* I have new respect for "Let the Records Play," as Mike's solo (behind the back of his head) was awesome

* Mind Your Manners - way too fast - seemed Ed couldn't keep up

* Like the new lights, and little light swings for Ed to swing on (he's too old to climb things these days)

* Get rid of the sit down portions of shows - slows everything down, kills the moment

* Release to Long Road was by far the highlight - awesome

* Girl threw up in the GA - reminded me of the GA show in Randall's Island in '96 when a kid threw up next to me...gross, but it kinda brought me back for a moment.
I wasn't in GA, but I thought the main set had great intensity for the first Worcester show. The only bad thing about the sit down is its hard for the crowd to get back into it when they start rocking again. The 2nd night, the last song of the sit down was black, and that worked slot better as the band was all standing by the end of it and that helped the crowd to get back into it. Much better than going from fatal to spin the black circle.

It's possible, I guess, but I wasn't with a group of four or exchanging tickets.

However, I knew at least one other person in the Worcester 1 crowd who hadn't had GA tickets since that '96 tour, and there were a ton of Boston folks at those Randall's Island shows.

I'm curious to see how the boot sounds for this show and if it's worth purchasing....Ed sounded like he was doing that over annunciation thing with his voice a few times.

Numbers: Yeah, that first set was pretty tight. I think the show dropped off after that, hence, my initial recollection when putting thought to keyboard.

WOR1? You are crazy. MOH and Fatal were a little to obscure for most of the crowd, but I thought Just Breathe into STBC worked OK. It would have been better had they followed the original setlist, but I was very, very happy with this show including the sit-down portion.

This was not an issue at the last six shows as long as you were at the merch tent by 5pm. I think the 10c learned a lesson from all the complaining at Wrigley.

No idea when the booths opened, but I showed up at the venues around 5pm and posters were still available. Show specific shirts were sold out though. Are you GA for C-ville?

2. The Fixer

Which concert will this make an appearance at? Thankfully, it wasn't BK1.

the lack of love for binaural and riot act pleases me.

Although now that my own show is done I don't much care.

This.

I am less pleased with the lack of Binaural. Parting Ways, Thin Air, or Of the Girl would fit in so well during campfire mode in Encore 1.

Stip, just when I'm about to crown you the wisest of all RM'ers... you have to go and say something totally asinine that causes me to question my whole allegiance to your controversial views
