Sweet. A buddy of mine has a buddy that just got P2 as well. He’s pumped to go. I told him if they somehow end up with an extra…daft twat wrote:Got Pitt 2. Waiting on Pitt 1. I put in for reserved only for both.
Don’t despair. Some in the Pit are just now gettin P1 confirmations.daft twat wrote:I suppose I’m not waiting on night 1. Probably didn’t get it. If that’s the case, I don’t know if I should try for night 1 on Friday or just go to only night 2.
No despair. My worry was getting only night one. My ten club number is really low (4****) so my reserved seats are always incredible. I didn’t want to go from great seats to happy to be in the building seats. Doing it in the other order isn’t so bad.wease wrote:Don’t despair. not lookin good
looks like you'll need to find someone else to meat up with at a local d1ck bar pre-game
My buddy and I drove from Milwaukee to Detroit in 2000, tailgated hard before the show, sobered up during the show, then drove back immediately after and hit a wicked ice storm just before Chicago. I wanted to pull off and get a hotel but he had to work later that day. Brutal.Bammer wrote:I drove to Vegas (from LA) with a couple buddies in our early 20’s once for one night. We slept in the car. That sucked so bad.daft twat wrote:There aren’t going to be flights after a show until morning. I did this once. Flew to St. Louis day of, went to a Cardinals game and then the show. My flight was early so I probably spent 5 hours in the airport. It was pretty miserable, to be honest. I’d just get a third night.GBV wrote:Bummed about the lack of a D.C. / NOVA date as well, and feel for the Ohio, Detroit, Toronto and Montreal folks who were hoping for shows. Maybe we still get Summer dates to cross some of those off the list?
I know the guys, especially Eddie, take lots of notes about the venues and figure that if they don't like the acoustics, venue folks, crowd, ticket sales, etc. it may make it less likely for a return.
Ended up putting in for Nashville, which I've not been to, and am excited for, and decided to go to try for Pittsburgh over Raleigh since they sometimes bust out surprises to close legs. My plan for both cities is to do two hotel nights, have my bags held, get them post show and hit the airport / car and head home avoiding the cost of a 3rd hotel night. Anyone else do this?

Get him some oversized hearing protection and hold him on your shoulders, obstructing the view of everyone behind you. Ed will point him out. He’ll maybe get to sit on stage for a song while Ed sings and you’ll for sure get a tambourine. That is the only reason to bring a 6 year old to the show.Jaeti wrote:Got GA for both Pittsburgh shows. I'm gonna have a buddy from Erie with me so was trying to get us both tix. I'll keep ya posted on how it all works out, thanks dude!Peeps wrote:Superblood Wolfmoon wrote:Welp nothing either way on my Pittsburgh tickets.
im getting GA for both shows. i doubt my brother wants to go to both shows. if you want i can grab a ticket and canoodle before the concert
My kid's been going to shows with me since he was born pretty much, we've always had a blast, and he is now a well-developed 21 year old with great taste in music and a love for live shows. So no, the things you mentioned aren't the only reason to bring your kid to a show and yes, you do sound like an asshole. Congrats.daft twat wrote:Get him some oversized hearing protection and hold him on your shoulders, obstructing the view of everyone behind you. Ed will point him out. I can see where I sound like an asshole, and I am one, but your kid isn’t going to have a great time, and it’s going to affect your time as well. You should bring a friend and hope the band is still around in 4 or 5 years when it can be the experience you’re wanting to make happen now.
Every kid is different. I'd say most, but not all, 6-7 year olds would probably get bored or be overwhelmed by a rock concert. But some would absolutely love it! I think it's on the parents to know what camp your kid falls into and adjust accordingly. Don't force an experience onto them just because you enjoy it.Superblood Wolfmoon wrote:My kid's been going to shows with me since he was born pretty much, we've always had a blast, and he is now a well-developed 21 year old with great taste in music and a love for live shows.
