High triglycerides
Slightly high non-HDL cholesterol
Low HDL (good cholesterol)

High glucose
High A1C
Low vitamin D
Slightly low testosterone
High liver enzymes (I’m sure from fatty liver which is probably helping with the high glucose too)
PSA normal

Gonna have to make some changes
Just think how much worse it would be if you liked mayo like some of these other cretins here.

Let’s make some lifestyle changes together in 2025.
I’m in. Where do we want to start?

The biggest surprise was the glucose/A1C/triglycerides.
Ditch beer, no more soy or soybean oil, 20-30 mins a day outside, and go to bed at 10pm. Simple and life changing
Don’t drink beer
Don’t use that
Definitely need more activity
Already do that
can we start at the new year? i have a very weak constitution right now.
That was my plan.

my dad's wife been having a pretty rough year in terms of health and after a big operation she had two months ago, they confirmed her she had colon cancer and she must do chemo at some point because it will come back.

I was expected to happen, but im still worried about how all of this will affect my dad.

sorry if this is long..had a cool, surreal morning...I woke up about 345 am to do my bodily function business as usual..I turned the tv on and grabbed my coffee cup to go down to the 6th floor to get my latte..the elevator opened and a black man was in there with a guitar case and a backpack..we were both going to the 6th floor..I asked him what kind of guitar he had in the case..he had a big smile on his face and asked me if I played..I said yeah, just a bit but not very good at all..he's staying with a friend in the building while he plays some gigs around town..his name was Tyler..he sat his case down and told me to open it up and it was a nice Martin in there..he told me to pick it up and play something..keep in mind that I had just been up for only 20 minutes or so..my brain and fingers started playing Roundabout from Yes..weird..anyway, I asked him to play and he sat down on the floor and just started playing some blues..just he and I..he played for about 15 minutes before I got up and went back to the apartment...

you pointing this out reminds me of Shaboozey playing halftime of this past year's Thanksgiving day game between Detroit and Chicago when my dad saw him and, having no idea who he is, asked to no one in particular why we needed another rapper performing at a game in Detroit.

sorry VG. Cancer is my biggest fear.

My year has been brutal. Started with a case of the Bells Palsy and was put on prednisone for about 6 weeks and all downhill from there. sprained my wrist which hasn't healed 6 months later but MRI showed no major damage, osteoarthritis in my big toe joints, and some plantar fasciitis which has gotten better with custom orthotics and PT, feeling generally worn down because all though treated with apnea, still often wake up feeling groggy.

I was really excited that my sleep would improve moving from 8,000' elevation back to sea level. It did for the first 2 months. I slept fucking great and felt hopeful. However, I have since acclimated and now the apnea is back to standard issue.

wah.

fuck strat that sounds awful, but you are dealing with it so thats a plus. But what a year.

My dad´s wife had a retina problem, she lost like 80% of the view there. Then pancreatitis, she gor surgery and now the cancer. She got surgery for that too and seems to be great but the cancer will be back, thats why she will have to do chemo eventually. On top of that, she is not an easy person at all, so thats something to add in the mix for my dad and brothers.

I hope she can navigate trough this and be healthy and good but my main concern is how my dad will handle everything, specially at his age. Ill be around to check on him regularly i guess.
