What do ur oldfashioned parents&young children think bout LB

I'm walking on bright and shiny easter egg shells today due to a few certain responses to my last thread. The shells have cute little bunnies being cuddled by fairies.

I took my mother out for supper last night. Played some of LB on the way, thinking she might appreciate SBM, FD and maybe a couple others since she used to be a big Elvis fan (Elvis is rock, at least). So I put on SBM and it was an epic fail. She didn't like Ed's voice. I followed up with FD and she said, "I don't like that boomin' stuff". mmmkay there was obviously no preconceived notion there, mommy dearest!

But my kids, 4 and 6, were freaking cool about it. They ranked the tunes. My clone (man, the world really needs more of these)/son, the 4 year old, danced like Elvis (I'm a king so I never pass up a chance to use an Elvis reference) to LTRP. He called YM "beautiful". Though he labeled the first three as "awful", he claimed the others were "cute".

My daughter liked all the tunes except Pendulum, which spooked her the hell out, but she at least liked the ah ah ahs. I thought I saw a tear during Sirens but she wouldn't admit to it. It could have just been wishful thinking on my part.

They both became RM villians because they requested Future Days for a bedtime song.

She generally shuts up when lightning bolt is on.

I purposefully never exposed my children to kid's music for that very reason.

Shit! I didn't even see your post I just pulled the number 4 out of thin air. I wasn't talking about you specifically or anything, its just that 'its a fun time for all the family' is really low on the list of what I want a pearl jam album to be.

I'll back up outta the thread, I've got no kids and my parents dont know what a pearl jam is. My younger brother found it interesting when ed was upside down or some shit in the even flow video once though.
