I wouldn't be surprised if the movie itself was much closer to what you describe than the teaser trailer indicates. Gunn talked about Morrison's All-Star Superman as a big inspiration for his take.
I think Gunn is 4 for 4 on his big superhero movies so I'll watch this

Looks awesome. That opening scene of Supes bleeding could easily be put into a more lighthearted context depending on the scene before it. Trag is traggin.

I like the bright colors, Lois and Clark being way in to each other and that its obvious Gunn isn't embarrassed to be making a comic book movie. Refreshing.

I am not much of a Superman fan in general but I agree and the film looks entertaining.
